Magnolia - Waco, Texas

We moved to Texas in January and the first thing we were asked from our friends and family was “how far are you from Joanna and Chips market?” This was the last thing I thought of when I imagined Texas so it brought quite the chuckle.

I loved Hearth & Hand with Magnolia in the Target section though, and so I had to check out this market everyone was talking about! This week we randomly decided to take the 1.5 hour drive to visit the Silos!

This trip did not disappoint.

We actually parked right across the street from the Dr. Pepper Museum. Yes, you heard that right. I snapped a selfie to send to my best friend who lives off of Dr. Pepper just to show that Texas might not be that bad.

Once we parked, we walked over towards the Silos and the first building on the corner is the bakery called the Silos Baking Co. If you can get there on a weekday they also have happy hour for cupcakes! Yum! Theres a variety of flavors including Lemon Lavender.

We are more cookie/brownie people, so I grabbed my favorite sugar cookie and Lyall had a brownie cookie! Delicious. Each of these cookies were only $2.50 and were pretty big!

Next up on our list was to visit the market and check out the Silos! Unfortunately there was major construction happening, but the market and shops were open! Items were actually priced fairly based on quality in my opinion.

I thought I’d buy everything in the market, but I did realize a lot of what I liked were items I could purchase at my local Target. I was also hoping for more holiday decor items, but there was only a little section. I did get a few things though including the cutest book for Calihan!

We decided to check out the Magnolia Press also while we were there to grab coffee. Lyall and I love iced Vanilla Lattes, and we were in heaven with the ones we purchased at Magnolia Press! I really enjoy Vanilla Lattes when it’s sweet but not over the top. This one was so tasty!

Below is my genuine happiness for my coffee. I guess this is also me appreciating Lyall’s jokes while being my personal IG photographer.

There were many cute places to enjoy your coffee - spaced!

We even went to the cute baseball area where Calihan ran around and then tried to eat dirt.

I escaped for a little bit to look at other little shops, Magnolia Home, and the cute little chapel.

All of these shops closed at 5pm, and were not incredibly busy considering it was a Thursday. Everyone social distanced and masks are required except when eating or drinking. There’s plenty of space luckily also throughout the Magnolia Market!

We spent approximately three hours wandering around the area with plenty to see even with construction!

I highly recommend making the trip if you are into home decor, or are a fan. We were so happy we made this day trip!
